When the storyboards where created I then knew what kinds of situations the characters would be exposed too. I took great inspiration from the books “The care and keeping of you” by Valorie Schaefer. (Schaefer, 2013) As their illustrations were a great reference to how I wanted our characters to be drawn.

 

Other books that I used were ‘The boys guide to growing up’ (Wilkinson, 2017) and ‘The girls guide to growing up’ (Naik, 2017).

 

Characters

 

 

With the characters costumes I wanted it to reflect both the character’s culture and personality. I wanted the child to see themselves within the characters by the way they look and dress.
